I was recently at a party staffed by Michael’s catering. We were very impressed by the food, and especially by the staff who were extremely attentive and helpful in terms of waiting on guests. Based on my experience as a guest at a function they catered, I would definitely recommend them - the staff really went above and beyond to make us feel well taken care of.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We can’t say enough wonderful things about Michael’s Catering! They truly came through for us in a big way when our original caterer went out of business, and we could not have been in better hands. From the very start, Whitney was an absolute dream to work with—she eased my stress, communicated so clearly, and even honored the original price we were paying with our previous vendor. That alone spoke volumes about the integrity and care of this company. The food was incredible! We chose a mix of passed hors d’oeuvres that we hand-picked during our tasting, along with a build-your-own salad bar featuring several delicious dressing options. For dinner, we went with the buffet option, but the quality did not suffer one bit. The beef short ribs in red wine sauce were tender and flavorful, and the on-the-bone seared supreme chicken breast (served with a lemon caper sauce) was perfection—moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I usually don’t even like capers, but that sauce won me over instantly! We cannot thank Michaels’ Catering enough for helping us achieve the wedding reception of our dreams. Working with Stephen Kovachevich was truly a gift. He was patient, knowledgeable, hardworking, generous with his time, and always made us feel valued. From multiple planning meetings, phone calls, emails, and a tasting, Stephen reassured us every step of the way. We loved working with him because he understood our vision and we knew he would execute. The service, support, and expertise we received on the day itself made all the difference. The food was delicious, but the "event" component was pulled off exceptionally, thanks to the expertise of Stephen and his professional staff. Michael’s catering and their team did an AMAZING job on our wedding. Ling was so wonderful to work with and helped us with every detail. We were able to craft our own menu that was perfectly tailored to our tastes and was truly delicious. The service was incredible and it was apparent that the team takes pride in their work. They even noticed small things like the fact that I was a little cold (and asked if I’d like the temperature adjusted). Astounding attention to detail. We were so catered to, and the whole experience was perfect. So happy we went with them for our big day!

We contacted Michaels Catering looking for someone so could take on a challenge - a wedding reception in the style of English afternoon tea with finger sandwiches galore. They pulled out all the stops to adapt their menu offerings and invent a few new ones to fit our vision. We live in Chicago, but married in Urbana. Stephen, our main point of contact and crew captain for the event, was helpful and communicated clearly. He double checked on all the fiddly details like who was providing teapots, how to display tea, and timing of serving each course. Michaels went out of their way to rent three-tiered serving trays on our behalf to capture the truest, most luxurious tea experience. Everything was delicious and our guests raved about the unique meal. It was even better than we imagined! We had one mishap that the crew handled like champions. The elevator at our venue broke before the afternoon was over. The Michaels team quickly arranged themselves into a bucket brigade to transport all their materials down the back stairs. It was a lot of extra work for them, but they did so with professionalism and grace. I would recommend them for any event.
